Format
Each evening starts with a beginners class starting at 7:45 p.m. Hinckley and 8:00 p.m Birstall. This will be a mixture of total novices and people who are stil llearning the basics. Each week several moves are taught from scratch meaning that you never have to have been to any previous class. There are always a number of experienced dancers present to act as taxi dancers, to assist with the steps. Everybody will dance with everyone else of the opposite sex, so you gain both confidence to ask others to dance and the experience of dancing with others.
This is then followed by an intermediate session from 9:00 p.m, where the beginners can move to a separate room for a refresher class to run through the moves they have learnt earlier.
The evening ends with a freestyle session where all lessons end and people can dance for real until 10:30 p.m.
